About the Album

Well, FINALLY...

The album (Back To Life) is FINALLY here, and finally beginning to make its way into the hands and ears and hearts of the people it's been created for.

You can now buy it here from my website, at CDbaby.com, at Amazon.com, at Corner Compact Disc here in Atlanta, and hopefully at lots of other places before too long.

At the last minute, I added a new song called Back To Life, which delayed the release (I hope for good reason). It's kind of strange -- this new song is probably the most upbeat, positive, "poppy" song I've recorded to date. At the time I wrote it, it seemed to fit right in with what the world (or at least our culture) needed to hear. And then September 11th came, and the song changed overnight for me from happy and hopeful to shallow and insipid. Still, I'm including it. I hope by now we're far enough along in our collective healing process for it to make emotional sense again to come "back to life"...

I want to take this opportunity to thank all my "reviewers", who listened to all 24 songs I recorded, and gave me feedback which helped me decide which fourteen songs to actually put on the album (well, actually, there's Fifteen, but the last song is a "hidden" song, so don't tell anybody).

(I so much appreciated and enjoyed the feedback, that I was actually disappointed one day when a self-addressed envelope came back to me with a check in it instead of a feedback form!)

It's amazing to me. The album actually exists. My baby has been born. You can hold it in your hand. You can put it in your CD player. And just like any other baby, it now has a life and a destiny all its own...
